Ljubezenska
Of love

In me spravil v smeh. :)

One day in winter when we went to Zbilje and later at home, when I was going through the photos for a new post, I discovered one that has been already secretly redesigned by Miro. It made me laugh. :)

(the male swan, addressing the female as Škorec, asking her something like if she is really his and she replies that this is something he should already know)

I told to myself I will post it some other day, why not today! :)

A je res že skoraj konec meseca?
Is it really nearly the end of the month?

Hibridna kulinarična nostalgija
A hybrid culinary nostalgia

Miro, soon after coming home from the Czech Republic, inspired by their knedlíky,

decided to make them also himself – but from triticale flour
which we accidentally discovered recently.
[triticale is a hybrid of wheat (Triticum) and rye (Secale)]

Turistična čorba
Tourist broth

Yes, a boat-ride along the old centre of Ljubljana is a lovely thing, especially on a warm night when the capital vibrates of life and all the happenings just before the summer definitely says goodbye, but it is all spoiled by the fact that there are German schlagers rolling on-board. (?*%$#!?) Somebody, please, explain me why? Despair, complete despair. Some many people still don’t get the point of tourism. It is not that much complicated, really.

Well, all our bad mood was swept away by all the going-on on both river banks, especially this young musicians called Martin Ramoveš Band. Impressive.

Ingver
Ginger

In evo – takole (redno zalivanje, brez direktnega sonca in zmrzali) vzgojiš cel nov ingver doma! :)

Ginger rhizome that we have got for our birthdays has gone wild and started to sprout. Miro dived into the world wide web finding out what now. And voilà – this (regular watering, without direct sun and frost) is how you grow the whole new ginger at home! :)

Barve poletja
The colours of summer

Sosedov pujsek na popoldanskem poletnem počitku. :)
Neighbour’s little piggy at his summer afternoon rest. :)

A delicious (!!!) lunch made from tomatoes and potatoes that my friend brought us from her garden.

I like this part of our usual forest walk so much that Miro named it after me. :)

Ne brez piva!
Not without beer!

When it comes to invading into countries, we, Miro and I, are certified masters of it. It happens to us regularly when we visit for example the littoral parts of our country that suddenly we find ourselves at our neighbours, in Italy, and the same thing happened to us the other day, on our little expedition to the Czech Republic.

Of course, this is what it happens when you leave home, as usually, too leisurely convinced that a not-into-details pre-travelling planning adds a pinch of an extra excitement, and it truely does, that is why we repeat this mistake constantly; so, this is what it happens when you get yourself too easily led by electronic devices, even though they screwed you many times before and you are, of course, without a good old map in your hands, suspiciously looking at roadside signs and then to the screen, saying hm, isn’t this going to a bit weird direction? and a moment later nooo – I guess it should know where it’s going to. (Yes, well why don’t we go to one more country by the way, right?, let’s say to Slovakia!)

You will say that it can not be true, but the same, or even worse,
as the episode includes the possibility of returning from the Czech Republic, a well known beer producer, without … am … beer, happened on our way back.

The excusing fact for us is that, at all that relaxed travelling, we completely forgot it was Sunday. Heading south, all heated up by sightseeing Český Krumlov, Miro says the time has come to slowly buy some beer to take it home and this was something that WAS solidly written in our plans, when we suddenly find ourselves already in Austria.

Hmja, beer is beer, after all, we said, especially a very reasonably priced Czech one, so we made a u-turn and at the same time freaked out realising it was Sunday late afternoon. Anyway we were desperately and eagerly (quoting Miro: I’m not coming back from the Czech without beer!) wandering through their local roads and yes, it was psychically the cruellest challenge :) and we lost about two hours of time, but we did return back home loaded with a few different specimens of the drink.

Izgubljeno črno-belo mesto
A lost black-and-white town

Even though we have already visited Český Krumlov before, we included it on our list again, because it was on our way anyway and because … we fell in love with it already the first time.

I remember that, at my first visit, when my film ran out soon after coming to the town I unknowingly inserted a black-white one and I discovered this unplanned mistake only after replacing it with a new one back home.

Later I have been meeting it on shelves or in drawers and each time I said to myself right, this one ought to get developed and eventually, when the digital era had irreversibly spread and developing film-photos was much rarer, I admit, I started to delay it in a very spoiled and lazy way.

Well, in this very moment I do not know where the roll is, but could there be a more proper opportunity to finally reveal that black-and-white side of the charming Unesco protected town than a repeated visit of it.

But I am serving you its quite fresh, very colourful, sunny and summery side of it from our recent Czech trip [here is a previous post].
